It began back in 2015 when I was a midwifery student. It was a struggle finding a preceptor in my community. After cold calling, Facebook messaging, and a long game of telephone I finally found a preceptor. But it was obvious the “system” needed help. We needed a centralized place where students and midwives could find opportunities and the idea of Midwife Match was born.

After many years of research, designing, and redesigning by my highly capable software engineer partner, we’ve finally made it! I hope you find this as helpful as I do.
